● A minimum 2.50 GPA at Wayne State University. If a new transfer student, previous institution GPA must be a 2.50 or above.

● Completion of Intermediate Composition (IC) course with a "C" or better.

● The Mathematics Competency (MC) requirement must have been completed through: WSU Mathematics Placement Exam, an equivalent transfer course, or the appropriate WSU course.

● Personal Statement.

As part of your application, a statement concerning your reasons for entering this field is required. Career goals and objectives and volunteer or work experience related to your desired area of interest should be included.

This statement should also reflect grammar, spelling and language structure appropriate for a college student. Using the following text block please limit your personal statement to 500 words.

● In addition to the completion of the Intermediate Composition and Mathematics Competency requirements and minimum 2.50 GPA, students must have completed a minimum of 53 semester credits, including the program-specific requirements below:

o COMMUNITY HEALTH (CH): PSY 1010 or PSY 1020, BIO 1050 or higher, and at least 12 credits in HE coursework.

o EXERCISE & SPORT SCIENCE (ESS): BIO 2870 Anatomy & Physiology (with lab) and at least 12 credits in ESS coursework.

o INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY (IT): STA 1020.

o PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LEADERSHIP (PAL): KIN 5100, KIN 5200 and a minimum of 24 credits in the major.
