ArtsCorpsDetroit Volunteer Form

ArtsCorpsDetroit is a community engagement component of the James Pearson Duffy Department of Art and Art History, Wayne State University, Detroit. It works in collaboration with the Art Therapy area in the College of Education, also at Wayne State University.

ArtsCorpsDetroit is committed to four main activities to achieve its mission: art-based public programming, service-learning, volunteerism, and research.

Volunteers are needed to assist with arts-based programming in the city of Detroit. Donating your time will benefit many Detroit residents and their communities. Volunteering also offers the opportunity for you to be a part of a community, to meet a diverse range of people, and to develop new skills, interests, and hobbies. It can spur your motivation and sense of achievement, boost career options, and indicate your passions to friends, family, and colleagues.
