Emergency Medicine Clinical/ Community Health Research

Thank you for you interest in Emergency Medicine Research at Wayne State University School of Medicine.  We conduct various community health related projects as well as clinical research trials within the broad spectrum of Emergency Medicine. We oprate in three high volume, urban hospital Emergency Departments – Detroit Receiving Hospital, Sinai-Grace Hospital, and Harper University Hospital.  

As a Community/Clinical Research Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in our projects.  You will work closely alongside physicians and experienced research staff, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the field of emergency medicine and clinical research.

To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following:

  1. 18 years or older 
  2. Minimum commitment of 6 months 
  3. Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week (Community related) or 8 hours a week (Clinical research related)
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills 
  5. Must be organized and detail orientated
  6. Meets all university, department and legal requirements
