WSU Catering over $1,000 Food Waiver

WSU Catering Services provides food, beverages and services and is the designated caterer for all functions held on campus. Food waivers are not required for food/beverage for events totaling $1,000 or less as long as the event organizer is utilizing an approved local campus vendor. Building/location guidelines and purchasing guidelines for WSU affiliated groups or departments still apply. Jeffress Center and Macomb Center are exempt from this policy.

Waivers submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the event will be reviewed at the weekly WSU food waiver review meeting. If a waiver is approved then a second step must be completed with the WSU campus food safety officer to approve the external food source.
