Social Work Service Award Nomination

The Wayne State School of Social Work annually recognizes one full-time faculty member and one staff member for their outstanding contributions to service in the School of Social Work.

These awards recognize and reward outstanding faculty and staff who devote their attention to providing service to the School of Social Work, its students, the greater social work community, and the profession of social work. It recognizes service of an exemplary nature, defined by attributes such as creativity, innovation, leadership and mentorship. 

Service activities may include:

  • Committee work
  • Advising or mentoring faculty and students
  • Curriculum leadership
  • Curriculum activism
  • Curriculum development
  • Overall support to the School of Social Work
