With the recent lifting of the stay-at-home order by Governor Whitmer and the campus restart plans recently issued by President M. Roy Wilson, the faculty and staff of the Department of Music are preparing its students for a successful fall semester. We will be opened and will offer instruction in a way that will ensure the safety of our entire community of learners and educators.
On Wednesday, June 17 at 7:00 p.m., we will be hosting a department town hall meeting, which will give you an idea of what the fall term may look like. In addition to being joined by Matthew Seeger, Dean of the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts, you will hear from the various discipline coordinators who oversee instruction in music theory, music education, music technology, music composition, music business, music history and the ensembles. Although we are unable to speak with a degree of certainty on some issues regarding Fall 2020, we can share with you the discussions we have had with the faculty members, who are developing the best way to serve you during this pandemic.
Please fill out the participant registration form below and submit any specific questions for the department admin that will be on the call. We will be emailing the Zoom link information to all participants prior to the meeting on June 17th.
