Flute Studio Class

Description: Prospective student flute participants will have the opportunity to observe Wayne State students with instructor Sharon Sparrow, as she leads Flute Performance majors through performance and discussions of repertoire, practice techniques and performance practices.

Description: Get horn practice and performance tips from Johanna Yarborough, WSU instructor and member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's horn section.

Classical Guitar Masterclass

Description: In this session classical guitarists will work on technical skills that enhance your overall musical sound and musicianship.
 
Cello Masterclass

Description: Join WSU cello instructor and DSO cellist, Una O'riordan, for an opportunity to learn practice strategies for next level cello playing as well as how to breathe better for a healthier body, a bigger sound, and a better phrase. 
 
String Bass Masterclass

Jazz Improvisation from a Rhythmic Point of View

Description: Join WSU jazz guitar instructor, Chuck Newsome as he guides interested musicians in exploring jazz improvisation in a masterclass designed for all instruments and experience levels.
 
Sunday, March 7
Voice Masterclass
Time: 1:00pm-2:30pm
Faculty: Caitlin Lynch, voice
Description: Prof. Caitlin Lynch will lead singers through a vocal masterclass which focuses on celebrating our strengths and confronting our weaknesses. Prof. Lynch will work with singers on finding the important balance of strength and vulnerability in singing and performing.
