Alumni Nominations for Arts Achievement Award honorees
Criteria: Exceptional career achievement appropriate for Arts Achievement recognition includes research, creative work, performance, publication, advocacy, composition, exhibition, education, discovery, management and /or leadership in their profession or artistic practice.
The award may also be used to recognize organizations that have been exceptional in their support of our arts communities.
• In general, current employees are not eligible for the Award. Former employees may be nominated based on their achievements outside of, or subsequent to their employment at Wayne State.
• Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged.
• Awards are not given posthumously.
• Preference should be given to graduate or undergraduate alumni from any of the four departments that comprise CFPCA (Art, Theatre and Dance, Music and Communication.)
• Former students who did not complete their degrees at Wayne may also be nominated.
• Students who minored in CFPCA may also be nominated. In some cases, alumni of other colleges who have achieved notable accomplishments in communication or the arts may be nominated, and, in these cases, the dean’s office will consult with the appropriate college.
Please note that this nomination is but one piece of informaiton that is used to select honorees. The Dean of the college will make the final decision about Arts Achievement Awards nominations.
