Exclude slang, jargon, or words of recent invention; words that border on the totally obscure; words still fairly common in daily speech; and anything other readers might find offensive. What we're looking for ideally is words formerly in wider use, not just words rarely heard (though if you have one you think has been wrongly overlooked, let's hear about it).
